Features

What Digital Solar Desk does for a small solar or battery installation team today — and what it deliberately does not do.

Your catalogue and source-backed prices

Keep products, suppliers, purchase prices and approved selling prices in one place. Every purchase price keeps its supplier, document and date, and price list updates show which open quotes would change.

Price list imports with review

Import CSV or XLSX price lists. Numbers, currencies, units and tax treatment that are not clear are flagged for review, and nothing is used until you confirm it. Reading PDF or photo price lists with AI is available when enabled for your workspace and always ends in the same review.

Quotes with margin, discount and tax

Build quotes from your catalogue with manual prices, a target margin or a markup. Discounts, sales tax and exchange rates are calculated with exact decimals, and the customer gets a PDF or a private link with the same totals.

Cost checks before sending

Each job type has a checklist of costs that are easy to forget. Missing costs, old prices, missing exchange rates and discounts below your minimum margin are shown before you finalise, and every answer is recorded with a reason.

Projects and real job cost

When the customer accepts, start a project with the quote as its budget. Team members add receipts as drafts; owners confirm them, and confirmed costs are compared with the plan by category. Approved changes, payments received and a remaining-cost forecast are tracked separately.

Simple stock quantities

Receive, reserve, issue and return materials. Issues can carry their share of the purchase cost into the project. Stock counts are quantities, not an accounting valuation.

Team, roles and cost privacy

Owners, admins, sales and field members see what their role needs. Purchase costs and margins stay hidden from members without cost access, also in exports of the quote and the customer PDF.

What it does not do

No system design, engineering approval or production simulation; no tax invoices; no collecting payments from your customers. Checks cover the costs you entered and do not guarantee the final cost.
